In order to assess and manage the impact of climate change issues on management, the Meisei Group has set 2019 as the base year for carbon dioxide (CO2), a type of greenhouse gas, as an indicator.
In order to contribute to the international goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, we will strive to reduce CO2 emissions through the introduction of solar power generation and hybrid cars, as well as promote renewable energy-related businesses .
As part of our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, when renovating or constructing offices and other commercial buildings owned by our company, we will actively consider installing energy-saving equipment and solar power generation systems and promote the creation of ZEBs.

Nippon Keical Co., Ltd., an affiliate of our company, will carry out construction work to convert the head office building that is leased from our company into a ZEB* in fiscal year 2024. By updating the gas water heater to an eco-cute and introducing solar power generation, it is expected to achieve the ZEB rating, which has the highest reduction rate among ZEB evaluations.

*ZEB is an abbreviation for Net Zero Energy Building, a building that aims to reduce energy consumption to zero while providing a comfortable indoor environment .
