Deterioration of anti-corrosive layers (linings, bricks) of steel or concrete stacks advances over time due to SOx content. Accordingly, durability and earthquake resistance of a structure itself decreases. Inserting corrosion-resistant material such as an FRP stack shell or stainless-steel stack shell into an RC stack enables a maintenance-free structure, which allows life-cycle costs to be reduced.
Since the shell inside can be remotely-controlled automatically, safe and sanitary cleaning is available. Moreover, work schedules can be shortened compared with conventional systems, high-quality uniform cleaning is possible at low cost.
The life span of stacks varies depending on the management method. Therefore, it becomes a key point of stack management to grasp secular changes on a long-term basis. We conduct diagnosis on the information acquired by prompt inspections and prepare reconstruction plans.
